I like my clothes comfortable and care free.<\/span><\/div>\n

I don\u2019t even own an iron, nor do I want one.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
Eyes. Lips. That\u2019s my makeup regimen.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
But there\u2019s one item I don\u2019t leave home without.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Perfume.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
I love the feminine feel of the freshly squirted scent.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

And I delight in the daily deliberation: What do I feel like wearing today<\/i>?<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
I think I spend as much time choosing my cologne as I do my clothes.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
Knowing. Allure. Red Door. Eternity. Giorgio.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
There\u2019s a funny story about Giorgo.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
One of Warren\u2019s fellow sportsmen most often refuses to enter our house during hunting season.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
Hug me? That\u2019s completely out of the question.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cYou STINK!,\u201d he says, \u201cThose deer\u2019d smell me a mile away!\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

But several years ago he brought home a prize buck, after he\u2019d been in the house when I was preparing for work.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
He started coughing and sputtering and pitching a fit after I squirted myself.<\/span>
<\/span> <\/div>\n
<\/span>I named that deer and gave this trinket to my friend the following Christmas.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span> <\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The tag is prominently displayed around the mount\u2019s neck.<\/span>
<\/span>
I have teased him mercilessly ever since.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

As much as I love my sweet smelling stuff, these luxuries don\u2019t always fit in with the family funds.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

So every year, for Christmas or my birthday, I put one of them on my wish list.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

That way, when I run out, I don\u2019t have to worry about our budget.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

This week, I squirted the last bit from my bottle of Knowing, my all-time<\/i> fave<\/i>, my go-to-gal.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span>There\u2019s always a bit of sadness when the bottles runs dry, until I remember that I have prepared for just that moment.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And I was so happy to open this little lady-in-waiting (for she does make me feel a bit like royalty), the one my mom gave me for my birthday a few months back.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
And then, as I shuffled some papers to prepare this piece, I stumbled across the fortune at the top of this post.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cNew financial resources will soon become available to you.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
Maybe the college I contacted about speaking has something in the works for me.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
Maybe Sally Wofford-Girand is reading the query and book proposal I recently submitted.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
There\u2019s just something about her, this woman whose name has been stuck in my head for about five years now.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
I\u2019ve no idea the connection, but I have to say I\u2019m looking forward to the day the bond reveals itself to me. <\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
Maybe Warren\u2019s newest project will sell and we\u2019ll have a little money to put in reserve.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
I\u2019m not sure my Giorgio will hold out \u2018til Christmas!<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
But for now, there\u2019s pleasure in the bottles on my shelf, and a certain sense of delight in the dreams of what is yet to come.<\/span><\/div>\n
