When I was in high school I worked for a large grocery, one that was actually a Supermarket before Supermarkets became vogue.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

This chain had one of the first gourmet coffee centers and I was assigned to that department.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat would you recommend,\u201d or \u201cWhat does this taste like?\u201d were common questions.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

To which I inevitably answered, \u201cI don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t drink coffee.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

But I love the smell of a fresh pot brewing.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I used to say that if it weren\u2019t wasteful, I\u2019d perk a pot every morning, just so I could smell it.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a bit of a shame that I don\u2019t like coffee, because mornings and I are seriously lacking in chemistry.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to make it through a job that requires me to be up at or before the crack of dawn, I need something to stimulate me.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I am so thankful for mornings when the clouds aren\u2019t full, because the sunrise is my morning cup o\u2019 Joe.<\/span><\/div>\n

I love it when my morning commute begins like this.<\/span>\ufeff<\/div>\n

One day last week, this refreshing view stared back at me as I stepped out of my car.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
And this is what I saw as I walked across the parking lot.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

Who needs Folgers with skies like these?<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
