Well, fellow Journeyers, I\u2019ve done it!<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>\n
After more hours than I wish to recognize, I have finally pieced together my first video.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The idea came to me when I discovered Washington, DC’s TEDxWomen<\/span><\/a> and their theme for this year\u2019s conference.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The Space Between\u2026<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I immediately thought of my piece <\/span><\/span>Finding Four-Leaf-Clover-Kind-of-Luck in Shit<\/span><\/span><\/a>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

And The Space Between Luck and Misfortune<\/i>was born\u2026<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are a few things I learned along the way:<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Staring into a microscopic camera lens is nothing like making eye contact with a real person<\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The crazy eye wandering is nothing but me looking for you\u2026<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I need my hands!<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Warren has joked for years that I can\u2019t talk without my hands.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

From time to time, when I am telling a story with a little bit of exuberant gesturing, he\u2019ll take my hands in his and say, \u201cNow try to talk.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The sad truth is that I can\u2019t! At least not very well. <\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

After seeing how many times I stumbled over my words, I find I need to work on being able to speak without gesturing, or stick to speaking in front of a group of people\u2026<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m afraid that you\u2019ll even see me reference not being able to use my hands in one of the clips\u2026<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I tried to edit it out, but couldn\u2019t figure how and was afraid I\u2019d end up deleting the entire thing, so I left it in.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Nothing like a little bit of humor to help color an otherwise gloomy section.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Video creation is much harder than it looks!<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I swear it was like a marathon workout. Sweat and all.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Or maybe those were hot flashes returning\u2026<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

If this site keeps expanding I just might need to go back to school to learn a few easier tricks of the trade<\/span><\/b>\u2026<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Or hire someone who knows what the heck they are doing\u2026<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
