Happy New Year, Journeyer!<\/p>\n
The eve of this day is one of the most wildly celebrated events of the year; a mass celebration of hope and resolution and dreams of letting go of the past so that we can move forward in living our best personal, professional, and philanthropic lives.<\/p>\n
I’m not one to make lists for a New Me in the New Year because I keep lists and do goal setting all year long.<\/p>\n
Am I always successful? Nope. Sometimes I can get sucked into the crazy-fun, Candy Crush world or get lost in that Social Media system that tends to mesmerize us for hours on end…or I fall prey to distraction and my adult ADHD-like tendencies.<\/p>\n
And then I regroup and make plans for a New Me in the New Hour or the New Day.<\/p>\n
When I’m successful in taking care of, putting myself first, and paying attention to those fleeting moments that make me smile or bring peace to my heart, I do feel like the main character in my own grand event.<\/p>\n
Feeling like the main character in a grand event feeds my happy, Journeyer.<\/p>\n
This week’s grand happy events included…<\/p>\n
a successful family Christmas celebration…<\/p>\n
…devoting time to myself and to my meditation and intuitive practices…<\/p>\n
…floating snowflakes and a fluffy white landscape…<\/p>\n
…good food and fellowship…<\/p>\n
…getting to know some of Fave’s friends who are visiting from the west coast…<\/p>\n
…reading all of your inspirational posts…<\/p>\n
…my new Fitbit’s reminders to get up and walk every hour; a valuable resource as all of the work I do requires me to have my butt in a seat…<\/p>\n
…figuring out how to add forms to my website! It took me all day to pull everything together, but what a sense of accomplishment when it went live…<\/p>\n
…the twinkling lights on my Christmas tree and the flame-less candles that bring me joy each night…<\/p>\n
…taking a manifestation writing class with Fave…<\/p>\n
…the purring and cuddling of our fifteen-year-old cat who we don’t see very often as he spends most of his days sleeping in our barn…<\/p>\n
…dining out with Fave, Warren, and our visiting friends on my birthday, where I couldn’t have picked a more appropriate fortune cookie!<\/p>\n
…an afternoon of sledding and four-wheeling through our wonderful woods…<\/p>\n
…connecting with those of you who reached out with questions or for services or to just share something from your story…<\/p>\n
…a New Year’s Eve filled with a rousing card game, a leisurely hot tub soak, and much needed laughter…<\/p>\n
Speaking of New Year’s, Journeyer, I wish you self love, patience, and perseverance as you move forward with being the main character in each happy and grand event you have planned for yourself this year!<\/p>\n
